Senior Group Manager – Workplace Safety & Health (Construction)

About the role

The Senior Group Manager – WSH will lead the organisation’s Workplace Safety & Health, occupational health, environmental health and employee well‑being programmes across all business units. Reporting to senior leadership, the role provides strategic direction, governance and oversight to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve Group‑wide WSH strategies, policies, management systems and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industry standards and organisational objectives.
• Collaborate with business units, operational teams, regulators, clients and external stakeholders to drive safety performance and risk management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in occupational health, employee well‑being and safety culture.
• Oversee the monitoring, reporting and governance of safety metrics and incidents.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Registered WSHO (Workplace Safety & Health Officer).
• Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant WSH experience, including at least 5 years in a group‑level safety leadership role.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking counterparts.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (advantageous).
• Fire Safety Manager certification (advantageous).
• ECO, ECMO or related certifications (advantageous).
