Senior Mechanical Engineer – Power Plant & Water Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, engineering and delivery of mechanical systems for renewable energy and combined‑cycle power plants, as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, site selection, ESIA inputs, technical due diligence and technology selection for power‑plant projects.
• Develop mechanical designs, specifications, calculations and oversee construction, installation, testing and commissioning of systems such as renewable‑energy power plants, combined‑cycle plants, de‑mineralised water, fuel gas/oil, wastewater treatment, compressed air, circulating and cooling water, firefighting and building services.
• Coordinate engineering reviews across disciplines, prepare authority submissions and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and quality requirements.
• Support business development by preparing proposals and marketing materials, and manage client relationships throughout project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, primarily in wastewater/water treatment plants and power‑plant mechanical systems.
• Experience in both office‑based design and on‑site construction/commissioning.
• Familiarity with contract conditions and authority submission processes.

• Coordination of multidisciplinary engineering reviews.
