Senior Staff Nurse – Obstetrics & Gynecology

About the role

Thomson Medical is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join its specialist O&G clinic. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, patient education, financial counselling and care coordination for women throughout their health journey.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring and nursing history taking.
• Assist doctors during obstetrics and gynecology consultations, examinations and minor procedures.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on antenatal, postnatal, gynecological and general women’s health topics.
• Explain treatment packages, fees and payment options; liaise with insurers and assist with claims.
• Coordinate appointments, investigations and specialist referrals; ensure follow‑up of test results.
• Support daily clinic operations, scheduling and inventory management while adhering to infection‑control and safety standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with extensive experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Strong clinical competencies and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient‑focused attitude.
