Shipping Executive

About the role

The Shipping Executive is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of vessels, ensuring compliance with charter agreements, and managing financial and administrative aspects of ship operations. This role requires close coordination with charterers, owners, and internal teams to maintain smooth and efficient vessel activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vessel sailing instructions, movement, and performance.
• Review charter hire statements and owners' accounts for accuracy.
• Negotiate with charterers based on charter party terms and record agreements as needed.
• Arrange payment and receipt orders related to vessel operations.
• Renew and maintain all required vessel certificates.
• Assess the need and feasibility of vessel refinancing.
• Negotiate financial conditions such as LTV, MTM, and covenants.
• Coordinate logistics with warehouse and delivery teams.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in a relevant field.
• Preferable experience working onboard vessels.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Independent, committed, assertive with initiative.
• Meticulous and efficient in executing and overseeing tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
