Software QA Engineer

About the role

IMDA is looking for a skilled Software QA Engineer with a strong interest in DevOps to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with development and platform engineering teams to embed quality practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and platform teams to guarantee reliable, high‑quality applications.
• Design, develop, and execute functional and non‑functional test plans and cases.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks, including performance and resilience testing scripts.
• Participate in incident reviews, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem discussions.
• Promote a culture of quality and reliability across cross‑functional teams.
• Support and improve DevOps processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on software testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Pytest, Playwright, Selenium.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (a plus).
