Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is expanding its APAC headquarters in Singapore and is looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded Supply Chain Manager. The role will oversee supplier relationships, manage accessories purchasing, lead a small team and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve urgent supply issues, including expediting or de‑expediting orders.
• Provide planning teams with transparent updates on material shortages, delivery changes, capacity constraints and operational challenges.
• Lead a team to establish clear responsibilities, effective processes and efficient ways of working.
• Conduct regular demand‑and‑supply reviews with suppliers to identify risks and proactively address future constraints.
• Develop and implement initiatives that improve supplier flexibility, responsiveness and overall performance.
• Participate in supply‑chain improvement projects such as inventory reduction and optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• 8‑10 years of experience in the medical‑device industry or related sectors.
• Hands‑on experience in supply chain management covering materials planning, sourcing, purchasing and supplier management.
• Proven ability to build strong supplier relationships and drive measurable performance improvements.
• Previous people‑management or team‑leadership experience.
