System Engineer

About the role

The System Engineer will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software, and management tools while supporting daily operations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Perform system patching, application deployment and generate related reports.
• Conduct health checks after monthly infrastructure maintenance and monitor application performance for bottlenecks.
• Maintain security, backup, redundancy strategies and manage SSL, SFTP, RDP certificates.
• Create and maintain jobs in the EFT application and perform related key/password changes.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date software inventory.

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in information technology.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.

Required skills

• File transfer and security technologies (SFTP, file encryption).
• Java Web Application development and JEE frameworks.
• XML, Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL query language.
• Windows administration, scripting and UNIX/Linux cron.
• Experience with EFT (Enterprise File Transfer) tools and COTS/EAI‑MFT solutions.
• System patching, application deployment, monitoring, backup and redundancy.
• SSL, RDP certificate management and security best practices.
