System Engineer (Middleware / Linux)

About the role

The System Engineer will manage daily operations of IP networks and IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable service delivery across on‑premise and cloud environments. The role involves supporting end‑users, handling procurement, and contributing to the setup of new centres.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and secure IP networks, servers and backup systems.
• Implement and maintain SaaS and cloud services such as Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams and AAD Connect.
• Configure and support computer hardware, system software and applications in line with security policies.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Provide first‑level support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and web applications, including occasional travel to regional centres.
• Assist IT procurement, vendor coordination and asset tracking.
• Support IT audits, licensing management and maintenance contract renewals.
• Administer Fortinet firewall, VPN and, preferably, Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN.
• Participate in after‑hours maintenance and critical incident resolution.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in on‑premise or cloud infrastructure administration and service‑desk support.
• Knowledge of Linux administration and middleware technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange and endpoint management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
