Accountant – International Subsidiaries (Singapore)

About the role

Our client, a global technology group, is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of its overseas subsidiaries from the Singapore headquarters. This high‑visibility role links Group‑level finance with regional entities, offering exposure to international reporting, compliance and process‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle financial operations for overseas subsidiaries, including daily bookkeeping, document approvals and month‑end closing in line with Group policies.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for overseas entities and support Group‑level reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during Group audits, due‑diligence exercises and statutory audits of overseas entities.
• Manage routine tax filings and compliance in partnership with overseas tax agents, ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls and support the Group’s finance automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Group finance team and subsidiary management on cross‑functional finance projects and ad‑hoc assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience with exposure to international financial management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and basic understanding of Singapore tax and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese for regular communication with Chinese‑speaking stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; experience with finance automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent data‑analysis and logical‑thinking abilities with proven coordination skills across departments and geographies.
