Accountant – Singapore (Hybrid)

About the role

The Media Shop Group is seeking a full‑time Accountant based in Singapore. This hybrid position combines office work with flexible remote days, supporting the agency’s financial operations across its media‑buying activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions, prepare journals and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform bank, vendor and client reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, billing, collections and invoicing for media bookings.
• Assist with tax computations, statutory filings and compliance with Singapore accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support audits.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong accounting and reporting skills, including ledger management and statement preparation.
• Experience with AP/AR, billing and collections, preferably in media or advertising.
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a campaign‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis and data validation.
