AI Application Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on AI Application Engineer to design, build, integrate, and support enterprise AI‑enabled applications, copilots, document‑intelligence solutions, knowledge‑search experiences, and automation workflows. The role focuses on delivering AI applications rather than managing Azure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AI‑enabled applications, internal assistants, document Q&A tools, knowledge‑search utilities and intelligent workflow automation.
• Translate business problems into AI use cases, user journeys, functional requirements and production‑ready features.
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector and semantic search, metadata filtering, grounding and citation.
• Create AI orchestration logic for prompts, tool calls, memory, retrieval, API interactions, workflow steps and human‑in‑the‑loop review.
• Develop backend services and APIs with .NET/C#, Python and REST, and front‑end components using approved UI frameworks.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, SQL databases, SharePoint/Microsoft 365, document repositories and secure data sources.
• Implement secure authentication, role‑based access, data filtering and context‑aware responses.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance policies for confidential and privileged information.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience developing AI‑enabled applications and workflows.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong collaboration skills with business stakeholders, security teams, data owners and external vendors.
• Understanding of secure data handling and governance requirements.
