Assistant Director, R&R Projects

About the role

You will join the Projects team within the Office of Development & Facilities Management at NTU, supporting the renovation and upgrading of campus buildings and facilities. The role involves leading project officers, managing consultants, and ensuring projects meet design intent, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of project officers to deliver renovation and refurbishment (R&R) projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee design development by appointing and managing architects, engineers and other consultants.
• Manage the tender process, evaluate contractor bids and recommend contract awards.
• Monitor construction progress, enforce safety and quality standards, and address scope or budget changes.
• Administer construction contracts, including payments, change orders and compliance with mandatory regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Building, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in consultancy, construction management, facilities management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, procurement and contract administration.
• Familiarity with BCA Green Mark requirements and ability to engage stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience with procurement processes and tender documentation.
• Competence in construction contract administration.
• Understanding of BCA Green Mark compliance.
