About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant’s daily operations at The Westin Singapore, ensuring seamless service and a welcoming environment for guests. Working closely with the restaurant manager, you will lead the front‑of‑house team, maintain standards, and help drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front‑of‑house staff to deliver optimal guest service.
- Inspect staff grooming, attire and overall appearance, correcting deficiencies promptly.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including set‑up of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the premises.
- Maintain storage areas using FIFO principles, conduct inventories, and requisition supplies.
- Monitor dining‑room seating, safety, and guest wellbeing throughout service.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Enforce company safety, security and Fair Treatment policies, reporting incidents as required.
- Provide attentive service to guests, including those with disabilities, and ensure a professional and courteous interaction.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in food‑and‑beverage or restaurant operations, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for long periods, and navigating stairs or confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
