Category Manager

About the role

The Category Manager will join foodpanda’s Q‑commerce team in Singapore, reporting to the Lead of Category Management. You will be responsible for sourcing, merchandising and full P&L ownership of product categories within the pandamart grocery business, driving growth and delivering a world‑class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with KPIs, ensuring the right selection and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate with existing and new suppliers on cost, terms, marketing spend and ensure reliable supply to fulfilment centres.
• Use data‑driven decision‑making to forecast demand, manage inventory and optimise margin.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, operations, pricing, finance and marketing on strategic projects.
• Lead commercial initiatives independently while managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in FMCG, retail or category management.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with G‑Suite productivity tools.
