Cook – School Kitchen

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Cook to join our kitchen team, providing nutritious meals and a clean dining environment for children. The role involves food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of hygiene in a fast‑paced setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and dietary requirements.
• Serve food to children in a courteous and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining area, including washing and folding face towels, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Bundle and clear rubbish, ensuring waste is disposed of properly.
• Assist in ordering rations and replenishing water supplies in classrooms.
• Perform simple cleaning tasks as needed, especially on Saturdays.

• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and cleanliness.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
