Data Engineer – Azure, Synapse & PowerBI

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong Azure expertise to design, develop and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions. You will work on end‑to‑end data workflows, from ingestion to visualization, supporting business intelligence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and develop PySpark scripts for data processing and transformation.
• Test, troubleshoot and orchestrate data pipelines using Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.
• Create PowerBI reports and dashboards, implementing row‑level security and DAX queries.
• Establish connections to on‑premise databases, IoT devices and APIs.
• Manage data storage in SQL servers, file systems, Hadoop, HANA or other big‑data platforms as required.
• Deploy pipeline artifacts across environments with Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Azure data engineering, Python and PySpark.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Azure Synapse analytics and pipeline orchestration.
• 1–2 years of experience building PowerBI visualisations with row‑level security.
• Strong SQL and data‑warehouse concepts, including data marts and ingestion processes.
• Experience with cloud‑based ETL platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Factory preferred).
• Good communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.

• Permanent contract with a monthly salary of SGD 4,000–4,500.
• On‑site work at our Tanjong Pagar office, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am–6:00 pm.
