Deal Desk Analyst

About the role

Datadog's G&A team scales the physical space, hiring, onboarding and financial and legal systems to keep the business running smoothly. As a Deal Desk Analyst you will work cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Billing, Contracts and Legal to provide quoting and deal structuring support to the Global Sales Team. The role is a growth position as Datadog expands, and the workplace is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Develop in-depth knowledge of Datadog's licensing and pricing models to support deal structuring and quoting for global sales teams.
• Solve customer satisfaction issues after a deal has been executed.
• Negotiate deals directly with customers as needed.
• Act as point of contact and subject matter expert for Sales on deal pricing matters.
• Work with legal, contracts, sales operations, order management, revenue, finance and product management, and drive adherence to internal controls and business rules.
• Help build AI-powered automations that improve deal desk efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of overall experience, including related areas such as sales operations, finance, sales strategy or sales enablement.
• Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and strong quantitative skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Bonus: experience with Salesforce and CPQ.
• Bonus: hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
