Director of Back-End Cost Control

About the role

Vishay Asia is looking for a detail‑oriented Director of Back‑End Cost Control to lead cost management for its semiconductor assembly and testing operations. The role works closely with operations, engineering and finance teams across MOSFET, Diode and Optoelectronic divisions to provide cost transparency and drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyse back‑end manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, equipment usage and overhead at internal and outsourced facilities.
• Identify cost variances, perform root‑cause analysis and deliver actionable insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning for back‑end operations.
• Develop and maintain cost dashboards, KPIs and regular management reports.
• Partner with engineering and production to implement cost‑reduction initiatives and evaluate financial impact of process changes.
• Monitor inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP and finished goods; ensure proper capitalization and depreciation of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s, CPA or CMA a plus).
• 9+ years of cost‑control experience, preferably in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of back‑end semiconductor processes and cost drivers.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Advanced Excel modelling and data‑analysis skills.
