Distribution Compensation Specialist

About the role

Reporting to the Head of DCA, the Distribution Compensation Specialist assists in reviewing and performing business cases, compensation and tracking of incentive spend. The role works closely with Agency Distribution, Partnership Distribution and Customer teams to design, cost and evaluate the effectiveness of all incentives and distribution compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and recommend changes to agency and partnership distribution compensation and incentives to meet business objectives and ensure financial supportability
• Obtain approval for compensation changes in line with governance and monitor performance against the business case, updating senior management regularly
• Recommend changes to management where needed and carry out post-implementation reviews of approved business cases
• Support agency recruitment by helping achieve recruitment targets and improving the effectiveness of recruitment schemes
• Review and support the implementation of distribution strategies from a product and compensation analytics perspective, coordinating with Finance and Actuarial where appropriate
• Manage agency appeals, assessing reasonableness, business needs and financial costs while ensuring timely resolution and adherence to governance

Required profile

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in finance or actuarial roles
• Degree in Actuarial or Finance
• Agency experience is a plus
• English
