Engineer - QEM Product Quality Engineering (PQE)

About the role

The QEM Product Quality Engineering (PQE) Engineer will monitor and drive continuous improvement of quality and reliability for cutting‑edge memory and storage products manufactured in Fab10. You will support wafer manufacturing, develop and qualify new products, and ensure that reliability performance meets customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve quality and reliability of products exiting the fab, including wafer‑level reliability sampling for outgoing quality control.
• Collect wafer‑level reliability data, manage reliability scorecards, and drive fab activities to improve extrinsic, intrinsic, and process reliability.
• Ensure reliability and quality indicators (OQRM, probe, parametric, inline metrics) are in place and meet targets.
• Respond to customer issues/RMA as the fab representative and drive resolution.
• Support risk assessment for excursion materials and manage the MRB process with the global quality team.
• Lead follow‑on qualification activities during high‑volume manufacturing and coordinate with global teams to meet critical milestones.
• Participate in site quality programs and defense line initiatives, building strong partnerships with global quality and process engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Physics, or a related applied science.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organization levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑task projects to completion.
• Effective teamwork and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of CMOS device physics.
• Knowledge of NAND memory device operation.
• Experience with wafer fabrication technology.
• Reliability analysis and root‑cause investigation.
