Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

About the role

The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will drive revenue planning, forecasting and performance analysis for a fast‑moving retail business. You will work closely with merchandising, operations and commercial teams to translate inventory and sales dynamics into accurate financial forecasts and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain revenue forecasts and rolling sales plans using traffic, conversion, average transaction value and stock metrics.
• Build driver‑based models that convert inventory cover, sell‑through, markdowns and replenishment assumptions into sales outcomes.
• Perform weekly and monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, highlighting key drivers of performance.
• Analyse channel and category sales data to identify growth opportunities, stock constraints and risk factors.
• Evaluate promotional and markdown ROI, measuring impact on sell‑through, margin and inventory liquidation.
• Partner with commercial, merchandising, operations and marketing teams to align pricing, assortment and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Merchandising or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in merchandising planning, demand planning or commercial finance within retail.
• Strong understanding of how assortment mix, stock availability and replenishment cycles affect sales forecasts.
• Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders and communicate insights clearly.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with comfort working in ambiguous environments.
