Head of Data Science - International Markets

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Science to lead our data science and machine learning initiatives across three international markets – the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand. Based in Singapore, you will build and guide a centralized team, own the end‑to‑end development of credit risk models and expand machine‑learning capabilities to other business use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a centralized data science team in Singapore serving the three target markets.
• Define and execute a data‑science roadmap aligned with regional business priorities.
• Own the design, development, validation and deployment of credit risk models such as application and behaviour scorecards and transaction models.
• Drive additional ML projects including fraud detection, customer segmentation, churn prediction and propensity modeling.
• Collaborate with ML engineering to integrate models into production systems and data pipelines.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for business stakeholders in each country, translating model outputs into actionable insights.
• Present model performance, risk insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and country heads.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in data science or machine learning, with 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Deep expertise in credit risk modeling and a strong understanding of the financial services sector (lending, banking, fintech).
• Proven ability to manage hiring, onboarding and career development of data‑science talent.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, especially in cross‑cultural environments.
• Experience in Southeast Asian markets (Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand) is a plus.
