Inland & Logistics Services Professional – APAC

About the role

This position manages dry equipment assets, inventory flow, and related operational activities across the Northeast Asia region (Korea, Japan, and the Philippines). You will plan and optimise equipment deployment to support export demand while minimising idle equipment and operating costs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee dry equipment inventory (20/40ST, 40HC, 45HC) and direct equipment flows to deficit locations and transshipment hubs.
• Manage idle container assets, including damaged units and sale/off‑hire candidates, to improve asset efficiency.
• Analyse supply and demand dynamics and coordinate equipment repositioning with internal teams and Head Office.
• Coordinate with Agency teams, Cargo Flow, and Ship Managers to maximise empty container loading and track loads.
• Partner with Cargo Flow and Sales to align equipment availability with forecasted export demand.
• Liaise with Procurement on service level agreements related to storage capacity and utilisation.
• Use Qlik Sense, Excel and other internal systems to monitor inventory levels and generate reports.
• Support digitalisation initiatives by identifying quick wins and implementing process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree holder.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in shipping and equipment operations (less may be considered with strong potential).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (core functions and data consolidation).
• Familiarity with Qlik Sense or similar inventory/stock management systems.
• Hands‑on experience in equipment positioning and dry container fleet management.
