International Tax Manager - Asia Pacific

About the role

The International Tax Manager for Asia Pacific will lead tax compliance, technology initiatives, and audit support for a portfolio of APAC entities. Reporting to the Head of Tax – Asia Pacific, you will act as a trusted advisor to business teams and collaborate closely with indirect tax, accounting, and finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance for APAC entities, including returns, payments, forecasts, and deferred tax calculations.
• Oversee outsourced tax compliance activities and coordinate with external service providers.
• Drive implementation and adoption of tax technology solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure transfer pricing documentation and filings meet local regulations.
• Support quarterly tax accounting, transfer pricing corrections, and uncertain tax positions.
• Manage tax audits, liaising with authorities and advisors as needed.
• Partner with the Head of Tax to advise business teams on tax implications and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with regional finance, legal, and policy leaders to share tax insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law.
• 12+ years of APAC tax experience covering compliance, transfer pricing, advisory, and controversy.
• Proven ability to deliver tax projects on time with high accuracy.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and project‑management skills.
• Effective communicator who can translate complex tax concepts for non‑tax stakeholders.
• Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
