Junior Technical Service Engineer – Machinery & Equipment

About the role

ILASER Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Junior Technical Service Engineer to join its technical service team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to 3D printers, laser machines, CNC equipment and other maker tools, with structured product and technical training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Install, set up, test and commission equipment at the office or customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic and software issues.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, repairs and servicing according to company procedures.
• Provide technical support via phone, messaging, remote tools and onsite visits.
• Conduct product demonstrations, basic user training and application guidance.
• Maintain accurate service records, case updates and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with sales, operations and warehouse teams on installations, service cases and parts replacement.
• Learn new products and technologies and complete internal technical training.
• Escalate complex cases and communicate follow‑up timelines to customers.
• Perform other reasonable technical duties as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation, Robotics or a related discipline (NITEC, Higher NITEC, etc.).
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior industry experience is not required.
• Strong hands‑on aptitude and interest in machines and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical or electronic systems.
• Basic computer and software skills.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Responsible, organised, willing to learn and able to follow technical procedures.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within Singapore.
