Key Stage 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational Key Stage 2 teacher to join its Upper Prep team on a fixed‑term maternity cover starting January 2027. The role focuses on Years 5 and 6, delivering engaging, academically rigorous lessons that nurture curiosity and independent thought.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all subjects for Years 5‑6, following the school curriculum and schemes of work.
• Plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, including AEN and EAL pupils.
• Use assessment data to identify strengths, set next steps, and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records, registers, and timely parent communication.
• Provide pastoral care, support wellbeing, and uphold behaviour expectations.
• Collaborate with the DSL, AEN Lead, and Prep Leadership Team on additional support needs.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Years 5‑6).
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for a wide range of abilities.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Commitment to the school’s pastoral and co‑curricular ethos.
