Legal Operations Manager – APAC/China (IP & Contracts)

About the role

The LEGO Group is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to support intellectual property protection and commercial contracting across the APAC and China region. Based in Singapore, you will work within the newly created Tax and Legal Operations team to deliver operational excellence for legal services.

Key responsibilities

• Support trademark border enforcement activities, collaborating with customs authorities throughout APAC/China.
• Assist with global trademark and copyright clearance to protect the LEGO brand.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts covering manufacturing, procurement, sales, and marketing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure legal accuracy, alignment with corporate policies, and compliance with applicable legal frameworks.
• Identify material legal risks and support effective mitigation strategies.
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non‑legal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the standardisation of legal processes, templates, negotiation guides, and playbooks.
• Support development of legal tech platforms and digital contracting solutions.
• Collaborate closely with internal partners, external advisors, and regional teams across APAC and globally.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with intellectual property rights in the APAC/China region.
• Experience supporting trademark border enforcement and working with customs authorities.
• Proven ability to conduct copyright and trademark clearance work.
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills across procurement, marketing, sales, and manufacturing agreements.
• Background in a corporate legal department or law firm environment.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex legal concepts to non‑legal partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic international environment.

Required skills

• Chinese language proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese and/or Chinese legislation and legal frameworks is advantageous.
