Lineside Engineer

About the role

The Lineside Engineer provides on‑site technical support for SAESLA's engine overhaul and component repair operations. The role ensures smooth workflow during shifts, collaborates with Rolls‑Royce engineering, and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support to operations during shifts, resolving day‑to‑day technical issues and ensuring workflow continuity.
• Liaise with the Rolls‑Royce engineering team to obtain dispositions and approvals for technical variances arising from inspection findings.
• Develop and issue ad‑hoc work instructions to meet operational requirements and address technical problems.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement solutions that boost efficiency, quality and productivity.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or relevant diploma with experience).
• Good knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) processes and technical publications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork.
• Willingness to work on‑site on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends.
