Incoming Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer will partner with local site teams and global stakeholders to ensure the quality of all incoming materials, including high‑bandwidth memory (HBM) components. This role supports the continuous improvement of IQC processes, contributes to strategic quality initiatives, and acts as the liaison between suppliers and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain consistent quality for all incoming materials and continuously improve IQC business processes.
• Qualify new IQC tools and develop documented procedures, including operation and preventive maintenance.
• Set up and maintain SAP QM for incoming materials and implement Statistical Process Control monitoring programs.
• Manage material disposition through the incoming material Material Review Board (iMRB).
• Support First Article Inspection activities for new materials.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders on supplier quality management and participate in on‑site supplier audits.
• Serve as the site quality liaison for partner groups and manufacturing areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Material, Electrical, Electronic engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in the semiconductor industry and knowledge of Micron’s products.
