Maintenance Technician I

About the role

Start your career as a Maintenance Technician at Vopak, performing general equipment testing, maintenance and repair work across offshore, vessel and on‑shore production terminals. You will ensure that terminal installations operate at optimum functionality while working in a safe and diverse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on facility equipment and structures.
• Follow OEM manuals, Vopak standards and local statutory safety processes.
• Process Permit‑to‑Work, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lock‑out Tag‑out (LOTO) and Defeat of Safety Critical Equipment (DOSCE) procedures.
• Maintain and update work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing contractors and third‑party vendors.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in Capex project supervision.
• Report daily progress and any issues to supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in a similar industry.
• ITE or Diploma equivalent in maintenance.
• Familiarity with terminal equipment, assets and fire‑fighting/emergency procedures.
• Understanding of safety, health and environment regulations and compliance.
• Team‑oriented mindset; mentoring experience is a plus.
