Manager, Accounting - Compensation and Benefits

About the role

The APJ Controllership team at Salesforce is looking for a high-performing, creative professional to join its team in Singapore, focusing mainly on compensation and benefit accounting. The role suits someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles and familiarity with month-end close, account reconciliation, intercompany and consolidation activities, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with tight deadlines. The manager will also liaise with external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed on time, and will reimagine future processes using automation and approved AI technology.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive regional and global finance initiatives to enhance trust and operational efficiency
• Take part in internal process improvement initiatives covering reporting, analytical tools and accounting procedures
• Support monthly flux and variance analysis at regional and global levels
• Handle monthly close, including preparing or reviewing accounting journals with full SOX compliance
• Ensure timely general ledger account reconciliations with full SOX compliance
• Mitigate financial statement and operational risks in process design
• Coordinate with HQ and regional teams on accounting practice and corporate policy compliance
• Assist annual audits with external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Business or a related field
• CPA preferred
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting
• Experience in a highly complex global organization using large-scale ERP systems
• Experience in US GAAP and local GAAP accounting for APJ, with a solid understanding of SOX compliance
