Manufacturing Test Technician – Cleanroom Equipment

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Manufacturing Test Technician working in a cleanroom environment. You will build, repair, and test high‑value display and wafer‑fabrication equipment that underpins modern semiconductor and advanced‑display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair, or test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, conduct audits, inspect for defects and suggest process improvements.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Document progress, labor and expense details; execute computer programming, software installs or repairs when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in the semiconductor, display or a comparable high‑tech manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
