Manufacturing Engineer – Plastic Molding

About the role

Philips is seeking an experienced Plastic Tooling & Injection Moulding Process Engineer to drive new product development, tooling industrialisation, process validation and production launch activities across global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PDLM project teams and collaborate with NPI, Engineering, R&D, tooling suppliers and manufacturing colleagues.
• Conduct Early Supplier Involvement, Design for Manufacturing and DfMAT evaluations for new product designs.
• Develop and optimise machine and process parameters using Scientific Moulding principles and Design of Experiments.
• Support tooling qualification, mould trials, IQ/OQ/PQ activities and create process documentation.
• Troubleshoot tooling and process issues from First‑Off Trial through Start of Production, applying SPC and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Polymer or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in plastic tooling and injection moulding process engineering.
• Proven experience in NPI, industrialisation, product transfer and scientific moulding.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Injection moulding process development and optimisation.
• Plastic mould design and tooling manufacture.
• Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
• CAD and mould‑flow analysis tools such as Moldflow, SolidWorks, NX or Creo.
• Scientific Moulding methodology and certification (preferred).
