Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to create robust solutions for assembly and sub‑assembly challenges. You will translate customer needs into technical specifications, develop detailed drawings, and support the full product lifecycle from concept to prototype.

Key responsibilities

• Develop assembly and component drawings for manufacturing using SolidWorks.
• Design and execute holistic tests to validate design parameters.
• Perform structural and finite‑element analysis on components and sub‑assemblies.
• Select appropriate materials, actuators, fasteners, and other hardware to meet design goals.
• Create hydraulic circuits, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and safety locks.
• Produce design documentation, test reports, and risk assessments.
• Support fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
• Build prototypes and proof‑of‑concept units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical component design.
• Strong understanding of sheet‑metal, weldments, truss structures, and machine parts.
• Experience designing for manufacturability, assembly ease, and ingress protection.
• Knowledge of motion‑control and kinematic solutions.
• Ability to conduct FEA for quasi‑static loading conditions.
• Additional experience with large structures, cranes, or heavy equipment is a plus.
