Mechanical Manager (Water/Wastewater)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Mechanical Manager to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves independent technical leadership, advanced engineering analysis, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptual, functional, preliminary and detailed design of mechanical process systems, including screening, treatment, blower, odour control, disinfection and sludge facilities.
• Design of pumping, chemical feed, mechanical ventilation and drainage systems.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, equipment layouts and detailed specifications.
• Perform pipe sizing, equipment calculations and cost estimates.
• Review vendor submissions and coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and instrumentation designers.
• Lead client, contractor and vendor meetings, and provide engineering support during bids, construction, testing and commissioning.

Required profile

• Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Singapore Professional Engineers Board or Chartered Engineer.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of experience in mechanical design for municipal or industrial wastewater treatment.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet project timelines and guide a team of engineers.
