Merchandising Intern – Luxury (2027 Intake)

About the role

Join Carousell Group’s merchandising team as a Luxury Merchandising Intern for the 2027 intake. You will support product description, quality control, and seller negotiations while gaining exposure to the luxury resale market.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the merchandising team with product descriptions, attributes, and maintaining the authentication bible.
• Conduct quality control and verification checks on incoming inventory, documenting defects and condition levels.
• Send quotations to sellers, suggest pricing, and negotiate inventory acquisition or consignment via WhatsApp and in‑person appointments.
• Schedule and attend seller appointments for acquisition and consignment.
• Maintain market research data on luxury bag resale and prepare monthly listings for discounted products.
• Coordinate repairs with third‑party services and handle ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of luxury brands, especially luxury bags and leather craftsmanship.
• Confident communicator with fluency in English and strong client‑facing skills.
• Highly detail‑oriented, process‑driven and able to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive team player with strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Available to work five days per week, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Access (or similar database tools).
