Operations Manager, Directed Content

About the role

AlphaSense is seeking an Operations Manager for its Directed Content team within the Expert Insights group. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Generated Content and leads research pods that produce high‑quality expert transcripts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of bilingual Analysts organized in sector‑focused pods, overseeing performance, coaching, and professional development.
• Set, monitor and report on KPIs that balance output volume, quality and relevance, and adjust coverage territories with Project Managers.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks, design and implement process improvements, and maintain documentation with the Enablement team.
• Partner with Director of Contributor Relations and research leadership to align expert sourcing, rates and coverage goals.
• Recruit, hire and onboard new Analysts, including Mandarin‑speaking talent.

Required profile

• Proven people‑manager with experience setting performance goals, coaching, and holding team members accountable.
• Strong leader who can build culture, inspire ownership, and drive entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Metrics‑driven mindset with a track record of defining KPIs for people and processes.
• Data‑oriented with ability to create dashboards and analyze productivity patterns.
• Effective communicator capable of aligning internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Process design and optimisation for scalable content production.
• Experience managing bilingual teams, preferably with Mandarin language capability.
• Ability to evaluate expert rates and keep average costs below $300 per call.
