Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager with on‑site monitoring, implementation and scheduling of construction projects. The role involves coordinating activities, ensuring compliance with plans and regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with daily on‑site monitoring, project implementation and scheduling.
• Plan, coordinate and manage projects, either partially or wholly, to meet budget, quality and timeline targets.
• Ensure all work follows approved plans, regulations and contract specifications.
• Maintain project safety and quality standards.
• Conduct and participate in progress meetings, reviewing schedules and milestones.
• Manage training for the project team.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and sub‑contractors to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare method statements, proposals, test and acceptance plans, and project schedules.
• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence for site travel and supervision.

Required skills

• AutoCAD – ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Reading technical schematics.
