Quality Technician Specialist

About the role

As a Quality Technician Specialist at Soitec, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of semiconductor products used in smartphones, cars and connected devices. You will monitor non‑quality events, manage quality gate outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives on the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, review and validate Non‑Quality Events (NQEs) from the manufacturing floor.
• Execute immediate containment actions such as holding lots in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Prepare and consolidate information packages for Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, including event chronology and preliminary analysis.
• Track, follow up and report on Quality Engineering activities, including NQEs and MRBs.
• Monitor Quality Gate (QG) results, perform lab analyses (SEM/EDX) on failed parts and propose short‑term corrective actions.
• Participate in task forces for defect analysis, risk assessments and root‑cause investigations.
• Extract, plot and analyse capability and trend data using JMP and Klarity.
• Prepare regular Quality Engineering reports and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Diploma with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, or Higher NITEC with 3 years, or NITEC with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor products and manufacturing processes.
• Meticulous, proactive and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Availability to work on a normal swing shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical tools such as JMP and Klarity.
• Experience using laboratory equipment, specifically Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy‑Dispersive X‑ray spectroscopy (EDX).
• Familiarity with quality tools and methods: SPC, MSA, FMEA, problem‑solving and audit techniques.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for lot containment.
