Regional Tax Accountant – APAC Commodity Trading

About the role

The Regional Tax Executive will join the APAC Tax team of a global commodity trading MNC. This hands‑on position focuses on indirect tax compliance, tax system automation and supporting direct tax and transfer‑pricing activities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and optimise tax technology solutions, including an in‑house tax engine and new e‑invoicing schemes.
• Tri­age tax issues raised by users, identify root causes and work with IT to implement fixes.
• Support Regional Tax Managers in risk management, process optimisation and compliance for Singapore and other APAC entities.
• Prepare tax schedules, manage filing deadlines (GST, VAT, CIT, WHT, TP) and coordinate with external tax agents.
• Assist in monthly tax provisions for Singapore entities and respond to tax authority inquiries.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in corporate tax, GST/VAT, or related compliance.
• Previous experience in a Big 4 audit firm or an in‑house tax role at an MNC.
• Strong knowledge of tax technology solutions and automation.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented with the ability to liaise between tax, IT and business stakeholders.
