Resident Physician

About the role

The Resident Physician will provide comprehensive clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, focusing on preventive medicine, population health and evidence‑based screening programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Take detailed clinical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Formulate diagnoses and develop management plans for patients.
• Apply evidence‑based clinical guidelines to determine appropriate care pathways, including step‑up or step‑down of care.
• Participate in preventive health, health screening, occupational health, vaccinations and chronic disease follow‑up.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent postgraduate medical qualification recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Minimum three years of postgraduate clinical experience in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
• Strong interest in preventive medicine, population health and evidence‑based screening programmes.
• Good understanding of Singapore’s healthcare ecosystem.

Required skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Familiarity with the NGEMR electronic medical record system.
