Senior Associate Network Engineer - Group Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

Group Technology manages the majority of the bank's operational processes and delivers banking services through multiple channels. It is looking for a highly skilled Network Specialist with hands-on experience in Cisco routers, Nexus switches, Arista VxLAN, routing and switching, AnyConnect VPN and Cisco ASA. The role covers daily network operations, keeping the network stable, secure and performant across data centres and other environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily network activities, assess requests from business units and prepare implementation scripts aligned with network standards
• Support incident and problem troubleshooting so issues are resolved quickly with minimal impact on operations
• Run vulnerability reviews, assessments and plan and execute patching or firmware upgrades for network devices
• Work with network vendors, telco providers and external partners, attend conference calls and support external connectivity in data centres
• Be available during CR green zone windows to implement changes and deployments, remotely and in data centres
• Follow the bank's processes and policies, communicate well and work independently and in a team

Required profile

• Strong experience managing enterprise networks, with CCNA/CCNP or CCIE certification
• Basic knowledge and experience in scripting and network automation
• Good communication skills

Required skills

• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco IOS and NX-OS, and managing Cisco routers, Nexus switches, Arista VxLAN, routing and switching, AnyConnect VPN and Cisco ASA
• Ability to write configuration scripts for Cisco IOS, NXOS, ASA VPN, Arista EOS, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, EVPN VxLAN, STP, RSTP and IPsec VPN
• Basic understanding of CDN, DDoS, DNS, F5 GTM & LTM, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls
