Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on construction projects. The role involves overseeing the full cost lifecycle, from initial estimates through to final accounts, while ensuring compliance and value optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Conduct contract administration, handling variations, interim payments, and final accounts.
• Monitor project progress and deliver accurate cost reporting and forecasts.
• Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
• Perform value engineering and risk assessments to optimise outcomes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in senior quantity surveying roles.
• Proven track record in both pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying duties.
• Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
