Senior Technical & Business Development Consultant – LNG & Green Fuels

About the role

AFRY is seeking a senior professional with 15+ years of experience in LNG and green fuels to lead business development across Southeast Asia. Reporting to the Head of LNG and Green Fuels – SEA, the role combines technical expertise with client‑facing activities to expand AFRY’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new clients in LNG, FLNG, and green‑fuels markets, building relationships with developers, operators, financiers and regulators.
• Lead preparation and negotiation of technical‑commercial proposals, cost estimates, and contract terms.
• Represent AFRY at industry events, webinars and workshops to showcase expertise and generate leads.
• Develop market‑expansion strategies, monitor industry trends and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 15+ years in LNG, oil & gas and green‑fuels sectors, with a strong regional network.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (MBA a plus).
• Proven track record in client acquisition, proposal development and closing sales in Southeast Asia.

Required skills

• Feasibility studies, technical due diligence and conceptual design.
• Process design and safety standards for LNG and green‑fuel projects.
• Knowledge of green hydrogen and green ammonia (Power‑to‑X) technologies.
