Senior/Staff Nurse – Cancer Centre

About the role

The Cancer Centre seeks an experienced Senior/Staff Nurse to deliver high‑quality oncology care, support multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff. The role involves direct patient management across a range of specialised services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and monitor clinical progress.
• Provide prescribed nursing care, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Recognise and promptly escalate clinical deterioration or treatment‑related complications.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote self‑care and continuity of care.
• Deliver specialised oncology services such as chemotherapy administration, apheresis, CVAD care, and radiotherapy nursing based on competency.
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team and ensure safe handovers across settings.
• Supervise junior staff and students, and assume in‑charge responsibilities when required.
• Participate in quality‑improvement, research, and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• 3–4 years post‑registration experience, preferably in oncology.
• Demonstrated competency in at least two specialised oncology skills.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage complex patients independently across care settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, compassion and accountability.
