Senior/Staff Nurse – Correctional Health

About the role

The position involves delivering nursing care and patient education within a correctional healthcare setting. You will work closely with doctors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, patient education, and coordination for an assigned group of patients in a correctional health environment.
• Participate in doctors’ rounds, review daily action and treatment plans, and assist during clinical procedures.
• Perform simple invasive and non‑invasive procedures within the scope of nursing duties.
• Document patients’ progress, nursing care, and treatments accurately and promptly.
• Assess patients, develop and implement discharge plans based on individual needs.
• Supervise junior nursing staff, support orientation and induction programmes, and contribute to quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Recognised Diploma or Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Willingness to work 3‑rotating or 12‑hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable working in a correctional healthcare environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to organisational standards.
