Senior/Staff Radiology Nurse

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Staff Nurse to provide safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing radiological procedures. You will work closely with doctors, radiographers and the wider healthcare team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient‑centred nursing care in line with clinical standards and organisational policies.
• Assist doctors during radiological procedures, maintaining pre‑, peri‑ and post‑procedure nursing standards.
• Prepare patients for radiology exams and provide clear guidance throughout their experience.
• Handle and operate radiology equipment safely, performing quality‑assurance and safety checks before use.
• Collaborate with radiographers, doctors and support staff to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and clinical projects.
• Uphold professionalism, teamwork and effective communication.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a recognised nursing qualification and valid professional registration.
• Relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in radiology, diagnostic imaging or a procedure‑based setting.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection prevention and control, and nursing standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
