Site Manager – Building & Structural Steel

About the role

We are seeking a Site Manager to lead daily site operations for building construction and structural steel works on Jurong Island, Singapore. The role involves coordinating with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site operations for building construction and structural steel works.
• Coordinate structural steel erection, installation, alignment, connection and related building works.
• Supervise subcontractors, workers and suppliers to ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and shop drawings.
• Plan and monitor work schedules, manpower, materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and clients.
• Monitor work progress, quality and site safety.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant site management or supervision experience.
• Strong experience in building construction and structural steel works.
• Ability to read and understand structural, shop and architectural drawings.
• Good knowledge of Singapore construction practices, safety requirements and site coordination.
• Fluency in Mandarin/Chinese to communicate with Chinese‑speaking workers, subcontractors and management.
• Proficiency in English for coordination with consultants, clients and authorities.
• Relevant Singapore safety certifications are an advantage.
