Software Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Quality Engineer to drive reliability and continuous quality improvement across our software development lifecycle. The role combines hands‑on test automation, risk‑based testing and close collaboration with product, engineering and business teams in an Agile, DevOps‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define clear, testable acceptance criteria with Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Partner with Software Engineers to expand automated test coverage and prevent defects from reaching production.
• Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks using industry‑standard tools.
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration and performance test suites.
• Integrate stable regression suites into nightly QA builds and CI/CD pipelines for early defect detection.
• Lead system integration testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders.
• Manage defect lifecycle, test artefacts and reporting to ensure traceability.
• Promote continuous improvement of Agile testing practices, tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on experience in manual and automated testing of web, mobile and API applications.
• Experience designing risk‑based testing strategies and working in Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as CSTP or CSQA are a plus.

• Performance testing: JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust.
• Security testing: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, SAST, DAST, OAuth, JWT.
• Test management: JIRA, TestRail, Micro Focus ALM.
