Specialist - Metal Management and S&OP

About the role

Join a world‑class aluminium business as a Specialist in Metal Management and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Based in Singapore, you will support the planning, execution and delivery of primary aluminium products from four smelters in Australia and New Zealand, balancing short‑term execution with longer‑term strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between Commercial and Operations teams for both strategic (4‑12 months) and tactical (0‑3 months) supply‑chain planning.
• Determine the optimal allocation of demand to production capacity and present insights and recommendations in the monthly S&OP cycle.
• Identify value‑creation opportunities, conduct cost‑benefit and options analysis, and align solutions with stakeholders.
• Lead weekly execution meetings with logistics, operations and customer‑service teams to manage delivery variations and coordinate mitigation actions.
• Own finished‑goods inventory targets and forecasting over the strategic horizon, contributing to working‑capital reduction while ensuring supply robustness.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and enhance digital capabilities for supply‑chain data management.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in business, finance, engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply‑chain scheduling, logistics or inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven experience preparing and presenting throughout the S&OP cycle for demand and supply planning.
• Ability to analyse data, build options and present financially‑driven recommendations quickly.
• Exposure to the primary aluminium industry and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
